Over the past while, I have worked closely as a Remote Personal Assistant to the Director across multiple of his own personal company ventures (in hospitality, real estate and medical) helping to drive growth, development support, social media assistance, sourcing and recruitment. This role quickly expanded, and I was selected and given the opportunity to move to Sri Lanka to work alongside our partner company, where I independently set up a boutique hotel, from scratch. Within just 3 weeks, I recruited and trained the full team, established operational systems, and prepared the hotel for the high season – neither partners had any experience opening a hotel, so for me this was a major milestone in my career. We achieved full occupancy throughout the season, received outstanding guest reviews, and built a strong reputation for our responsive, personalized service – something I take great pride in. I thrive when given responsibility and deal with everything hands on.
