Job Title: Financial Manager (Reinsurance)

Duration: 10

Key Responsibilities: Preparation of management accounts up to and including: Monthly weekly account reconciliations

 

Preparation of Trial Balance, Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash flow and supporting documents

 

Control and posting of journals in general ledger

 

Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis – including intercompany/group balances

 

Maintain accurate and complete supporting records, contracts

 

Bank Administration: Input/processing of payment via online banking in a timely manner

 

Forex Administration

 

SARB Administration

 

Suppliers: Payment of suppliers in timely fashion and in line with appropriate approval

 

Liaise with and support internal auditors in management of the company and group’s financial structures

 

Budget planning and managing

 

Manage the process of the yearly review of the annual financial statements, attend to auditors requests.

 

Taxes: Manage, preparation, and submission of relevant tax returns (VAT, PAYE, UIF, Income tax, provisional payments etc.)

 

HR Administration: Payroll administration as required by Group FD, for applicable companies

 

Compile and maintain complete employee files for existing and new staff members

 

Maintain staff leave register and records
