Key Responsibilities: 1. Process Optimization — Streamline and enhance the Order to Cash (O2C) process to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Identify bottlenecks and implement best practices to accelerate order processing and invoicing.
Invoicing and Billing — Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, maintaining proper documentation, correct pricing, and adherence to billing guidelines and statutory requirements.
Identify and implement automated billing solutions, driving the selection and integration process to optimize billing efficiency.
Customer Relationships (Both Internal and External customers) — Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their O2C-related concerns promptly to enhance customer satisfaction.
Collaborate closely with Account management teams and Financial controller teams to understand customer needs and preferences and align billing processes accordingly.
KPI Monitoring — Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the O2C function, including invoice processing times, Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and cash application accuracy.
Regularly report on performance metrics and implement corrective actions where necessary to ensure alignment with objectives.
Automation and Technology — Evaluate and implement O2C automation tools and technologies to boost efficiency and accuracy across billing and collections.
Leverage ERP systems and other software to further streamline O2C processes and drive continuous improvement.
Compliance and Reporting — Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal controls related to O2C processes, safeguarding the business from financial and operational risks.
Prepare regular financial and operational reports for senior management and auditors, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
Team Leadership — Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing O2C team, providing guidance, training, and professional development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.

Regional Billing Management — Oversee billing operations across multiple regions, ensuring consistency and accuracy: APAC: South Africa, Australia, Singapore, Northern Europe: Germany, Switzerland, Southern Europe: Italy, Spain, Portugal, UK, Global Billing Clients
Billing Process Documentation and Optimization — As part of my role, I took the initiative to write standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the NE (Northern Europe) and APAC (Asia-Pacific) regions to document and standardize the billing processes across these areas.
The billing workflows in these regions were complex and heavily reliant on manual tasks, resulting in inefficiencies and a higher risk of errors.
My approach involved — Understanding the Existing Billing Practices: I thoroughly analyzed the current billing processes in both regions to identify key challenges, bottlenecks, and areas where manual intervention was high.
Documenting the Process — I created detailed SOPs that clearly outlined each step of the billing process, from data collection to invoicing, ensuring consistency and accuracy in how tasks were performed.
Identifying Improvement Areas: In parallel, I identified opportunities to reduce manual steps and enhance efficiency by streamlining workflows and incorporating automation tools where applicable.
This documentation served as a foundation for future process improvements and provided clarity and consistency for teams across regions.
The goal was not only to standardize billing practices but also to lay the groundwork for automation and optimization to address the bulky, manual nature of the current system.
Credit Risk and Collections Management Customer Onboarding — Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring accurate and timely vetting, credit escalation, and collaboration with sales and customer service teams to resolve issues.
Credit and Risk Management — Ensure adherence to credit policies, assess customer creditworthiness, and establish appropriate credit limits for new and existing customers.
