I possess more than 30 years’ experience, working at senior level in the sales & management space throughout KZN & Swaziland. My experience includes starting branches from scratch, as well as turning underperforming branches, or regions around. I am also in possession of a valid passport should I be required to travel beyond the SA borders. I am an excellent all-rounder and not alien to getting my hands dirty. I have managed branches in the technical; electrical, mechanical, telecommunications, equipment rental and construction space; which has included service & workshops, repair centres, aftermarket, retail counters, parts, sales and warehousing within those branches. My industries include construction, mining, oil and gas, port operations/marine, smelters, sugar mills, paper and pulp, plant hire, as well as agriculture. I am completely comfortable and confident to conduct business at all levels and I am able to chair high level meetings. I possess excellent communication skills and known to have the ability to deal with very difficult stakeholders. I am tenacious and determined, I have a high level of energy and I am a very confident individual.

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Key Responsibilities: I joined the group as the Branch Manager for Bearings International in Durban responsible for the daily management of the Durban flagship branch, which included the financial management, operations, human resources, stock, logistics and ISO implementations and management.

The mandate included introducing new products, as the new channel partners for the brand, and since I was from the motor industry, this was one of my main focusses.

In addition, I was also asked to step in and oversee the Richards Bay Branch, as their manager at the time was very ill with cancer and receiving chemo therapy. He unfortunately passed away and I continued to assist by supporting the reps, seeing to the branch after it was broken into multiple times over the festive season and assist where ever else it was necessary in the absence of a manager.

I was responsible for the entire KZN region and I was the support for the entire branch network, this included training the reps, managing their pipelines, providing product and sales support, assist in finding opportunities for motors & drives; new clients and existing.
