Job Title: Head of Web and Marketing

Main Duties:

Building and designing websites on the B12 platform. B12 is redefining web design by building stunning, effective websites 15x faster using AI for repeatable tasks. HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript, UX/UI Design, Orchestra for project launches, Slack for team and customer success, web design and development, artificial intelligence, SaaS, small business management, online payments and invoicing, small business marketing, commerce platform, and professional service providers.

Read and interpret customer briefs. B12 current customers are small and medium-sized businesses ranging from cafés to real estate investment firms. Given a new customer’s content and preferences, as well as a website that has been automatically generated for the customer, use B12 Design Suite (a largely WYSIWYG website editor with support for custom HTML5/CSS overrides) to put an initial website together for the customer in ~5 hours. Complete enhancement requests for existing customer websites, ranging from small changes to more complex customizations or design improvements. Receiving feedback from a customer success manager or an art director, and are equally excited to push back on design decisions you disagree with. Designing for desktop and mobile and working on a customer deliverable for a few hours at a time, and then moving on to a different customer’s deliverable. Constantly learning the B12 Design Suite as it gets updated often.

Managing and creating PPC campaigns and Google Ads. Designing ads for Paid advertising on Takealot. Designing of Product images to be uploaded on Takealot. Preparing thousands of products to be added on Takealot. Managing the social media accounts, and design of all graphics. Management of all e-commerce stores. Incorporating SEO techniques and the latest Digital Marketing trends. Photoshopping product images for different e-commerce platform channels. Creating and managing the WordPress e-commerce website in its entirety, and knowing how to create parent-child variations for thousands of products. Researching and keeping the team abreast of competitor trends and best practices with regard to communications. Support to make sure on-site copy works effectively for search
engine optimization purposes.

Creating and managing marketing material for all social media accounts. Proof-reading copy and planning content themes for marketing campaigns, (including sales, promotions, email newsletters, social media content calendars, app push notifications, PR, Retail Marketing partnerships, etc.), Understanding marketing and/or creative briefs and working with the team to create attractive marketing content that brings concepts to life. Creating banners and other graphic design work.
